The engine won't run at all. only sparks when ignition switched off. Do you think the problem could be the electronic ignition. Fitted with a NEWTRONIC SYSTEMS .

I have a 1977 stag,I have just finished a full engine rebuild due to ceased engine.My problem is that for some reason the ignition only sparks when I switch the ignition off.So when I turn the car over there is NO SPARK as soon as I switch the key off it sparks. The vehicle is fittes with a new electronic ignition. Many thanks trev.
