Just had the car up on ramps and refixed the back two sections of the exhaust checked front wheel bearing and replaced near side one also sounds like a tappet wants adjusting they were all spot on when I left home on Friday morning also got to check why the temperature gauge stopped working on Sunday

No 120 we managed to finish despite having two tyre blowouts in the middle of nowhere used the spare but had to call out tyre service for second one nearest open tyre service Inverness 1 hour 45 minutes away two budget tyres plus fitting £480 lost a lot of time called into Gulf garage at skin falls for fuel then fetched the exhaust off exiting station refitted it but it was then a problem throughout the rest of the game refitting it four or five times missed three controllers but arrived at Knebworth on time first time we have entered this event but it was brilliant congratulations to everyone who finished and well done to the organisers

  3. Just fitted the led headlight bulbs to my tr7 I had to file out the internal corners on the locating tabs on the bulb after that fitted ok  am I Wright in saying you cannot fit the rubber shroud when the led bulbs are fitted I left mine off

Just got my 7 out after a two month hibernation started ok but could not get the tick over below 1200 rpm other than that drove really well just had a quick look at the route I did the nc500 2years ago clock wise from Inverness the first 120 miles a lot of them on single track roads all be it with many passing places took me five hours must try and improve on that

Once the weather warms up I intend to remove brake master cylinder and all wiring etc and repaint the area that has slightly rusted due to brake fluid spillage btw i am referring to my tr7 another project when I get hold of an early corsa steering column is to convert to power steering any tips photos on this subject would be gratefully received

  6. After owing the car for over 18 years and bringing it up to a high standard touring in many countries in Europe I thought it was time for some else to enjoy it . I now have a tr7 which I have over the last twelve months improved and used ie nc500 I find this car to be much more comfortable for myself and my wife's old bones and were able to take more creature comforts with us when touring , I commend the 7 for anyone who wants a little more comfort and still have a most enjoyable drive

Had my 7 resprayed earlier this year and noticed a couple of weeks ago that the paint has cracked in the joint between wing and rear deck and is now showing signs of rust , what's the best cure for this ? Before the respray the small amount of rust in this area was treated to a localised blasting with a portable blasting gun and then primed . What's the solution if any
