Belated thanks for a very enjoyable event with some great driving roads encountered!
Will you be posting the results?

Starting Rouen this time.
Isn't Rouen now one big "clean air zone"?

Portsmouth/Le Harve?
Have I missed something on where we might be starting from?

30+ years ago when I first started venturing into France in a Triumph, I used to buy a little bottle of "paint on yellow" that was readitly available at the time. Worked a treat and cleaned off easily with white spirit up my return
A quick google would seem to imply that it's still readily available...
I assume you want these covers for aesthetic reasons rather than compliance? If for compliance, why not just pick up a set of LHD 5 1/4" Cibies or similar?

Blimey, they are keenly priced. Don't think that I will be buying any more Magnecor!
-
If individually sent, not sure if they would attract duty being of low value. I can't remember the threshold, but I recall ordering 2 heater valves from the US separately to avoid this

That looks like a lovely car, and a credit to your father. Sorry for your loss.
The midget looks tasty too.

Thanks to everyone who took part either as competitor or marshall. Initial feedback is that is was enjoyed by all, it was particularly refrershing to hear several of the beginners expressing a desire to try another event.
We will be double checking the results over thext few days and uploading a few pics, so watch this space.

Now they look really nice!
-
Are you limited to Spitfire only or do you take on other models or even makes?
-
That's a little odd, maybe a quirk of the forum setup? Perhaps worthy of a committee discussion.
Seats look really nice by the way, you are obviously a master of your trade. Shame you are not a bit closer to Essex!

Entry closed over the weekend, we have 8 cars running.
Colin and I drove the route yesterday, ironing out a few wrinkles as we went. The local farmers have been harvesting sugar beet, leaving a bit of mud on a few of the roads. Hopefully the rain this week will wash some of it away!
Speaking of "wash", the poor old Mini now needs one badly!

probably offer "A" initially and act on their response

We now have 6 cars entered, this means that the event is viable to run!
Entries have been opened up to other AEMC member clubs now, so if you are thinking of participating, get your entries in asap!

Many insurance policies cover non-timed navigational 12-car rallies,
Worth giving them a ring to check. Emphasise that this event is an un-timed map reading and navigational drive, with the competitive element being based on interpreting the clues and reading the map correctly. Historically, most insurers have been ok with this.

As our own autosolo will not be able to run as planned due to loss of venue, I am pleased to announce that
CT have been granted "invited club" status to this event run by another CLub in our Association.
Points will be elegible for CT awards if competing in a Triumph
