  1. Fellow Raiders Just a quick update on the Raid in a couple of weeks time Hopefully you're all sorted with accommodation and raring to go. The Rally plates have arrived, the road book has been printed, trophies sorted and we've got some flags to wave you off. For those staying at the OST on the Friday I'll give you your rally packs with all the info to save a bit of time on Saturday morning. For those arriving Saturday morning signing on from 9 ish and hopefully first car away from 9:30 at minute start intervals. There'll be a quick drivers briefing before we start. The Saturday night halt is, as you know, in Kelso and we'll be having a group meal at the Cross Keys, at the last count there are 63 of us so should be an interesting night! We have some dedicated parking in the town square opposite the Cross Keys so please use that where possible and it will be our starting point for the Sunday return to York. Could be some local press coming to see us off on Sunday so get polishing those cars. Martin's in charge of the weather and I have high hopes he will deliver some sunshine for the weekend If there any changes to co drivers/cars please could you let me know Any questions let me know by email A huge thanks to the rest of the team, Mik,Mike and Ian See you all on the Friday/Saturday for the biggest Border Raiders yet. Chris

For anyone not having read the latest edition of Club Torque, its 400miles of the best and quietest roads the north has to offer. Starting in Kelbrook Lancs, overnighting in the Scottish borders town of Kelso and finishing in York on the Sunday. We've organised some accommodation, an evening meal together in Kelso, a great route and Martin will be sorting the weather. Speaking of which, we will be presenting a new trophy/award for the spirit of the rally which will be known as The Martin Randle Cup. There's now a dedicated Border Raiders page on the website under Competitions and in the events section. The regs are also attached there. Still lots to sort but the dates will be 4-5 August 2018 So please put it in your diaries and let us know here if you want to join us driving some great roads up north. Route still to be decided but we will be heading north of a Lancashire/Yorkshire start into the northern provinces. More details in due course including regs etc but "confirmed are" Chris & Sarah Reynolds TR7V8
  12. Rest assured, it's not forgotten, Martin's raid will continue. Just starting to get ideas in place. Chris
  13. Glad you enjoyed it Pete, there were a few things that we'll do better next year. Makes me realise just what a great job Martin did (as if I needed reminding). Didn't realise that about the OST, not good and as for the MSA... We'll keep Martin's legacy alive and well with the 2018 event and look forward to seeing everyone again for another raid Chris
