  1. Twin strombergs I guess they'll be 150's
  2. Yes it was in the car I bought. It has two strombergs
  3. Thanks, this is my first triumph restoration. Must admit the engine is a bit of a mystery still. I'll strip it down then talk to canley or Rimmers to make sure I get the right parts. Does anyone know where I can get a triple weber manifold for this engine I want to fit dcoe 40s
  4. Ok thanks everyone, I'll keep you in mind if I change the engine. Can anyone just summarise what the difference is between the 2ltr and 2.5 (apart from the .5) is the block the same?
  5. I'll have a look when I take the engine out, looking online the engine number looks to be between 68 and 69 the car was registered in 68. Is it likely that someone's changed it or could it of come from the factory with it in.
  6. Hi I'm trying to identify my engine cc and which model it came from. It's registered as a 1998cc which potentially from looking round isn't correct. The car is a 1968 mk1 gt6 the engine number is cp25784HE I'm ordering overhaul parts soon and don't want to get the wrong ones. Thanks Andy
  7. Can anyone recommend a good bodywork / paint sprayer preferably in the Nottingham area or as close too as possible. Needs a complete re spray and a couple of wings replacing.
  8. Thanks, a quick question on the nitriding, do you have the followers nitrided and then polished or do the just come back ready to use? Where do you get it done?
  9. So I'm going to start my new engine rebuild in a few weeks. I've seen a cam kit on the piper website. Are there any other mods that anyone can recommend. I've seen that jigsaw do a stage 2 engine. Any good? Any other recommendations. I don't want to modify the bonnet and want to keep the car looking as standard as possible. Thanks Andy
  10. Thanks, I'll keep an eye on eBay. I only got the car a few weeks ago and have only managed to get the interior out so far as I'm on a family holiday now which is getting in the way! Going to completely strip it down and rebuild everything. Hopefully going in for a re spray around December / January time.  I'll try Mike papworth if I get stuck. The throttle stuck when I was driving it. It redlined and has now developed a knock so the engine will need a bit of work other than that the bodywork apart from the bonnet seems pretty sound. I can't post a picture as apparently there too large. Andy
