  1. IF these chaps were around now and had access to the Forum would they have written the following:

    Richard 3rd “ A Herald, A Herald! My Kingdom for a Herald!

Churchill. Rust! We will beat it on the Wings! We will Beat it on the Front! We will never surrender to Rust!

Harold Macmillon on completing his restoration! “We’ve Never had it so good”!

Neil Armstrong in his GT 6 “ “That was one small step for me! One Giant leap for Mankind “!

He hasn’t said this but he might have.. King Charles 3rd “Rishi are you and me the only two able to afford to complete a renovation on a Triumph?”

  5. Hi all . I’m at that point where I have to advise Santa which Brake options I have. Currently I’m going to replace the master Cylinder Calipers as they are beyond hope! I have already put new disks on front and new pads on rear . New pipes in between! So my question is type14 or 16! I’ve seen and it has an impact on the type of Master cylinder I notice Your Guidance much appreciated. So I can I advise the Bank of Wife! Thankyou

  6. I’m sharing this with you, it’s true and if any of my family or persons feel upset then I apologise but sometimes a story needs to be shared so it’s not lost and you to can go OMG!….

A couple of years ago I went to my Aunts Funeral with my wife.We only have a small family left on that side so basically me the wife and my uncle. Plus a lot of friends of my Aunt and Uncle.

The Vicar started proceedings by thanking us all for coming plus my Aunts Children! Gasps! What! A! Children! ….. in the 55 years I’d known my aunt I never knew about any children! Nor did the rest of their friends.
Yes says the vicar, the Aunt had ran off to a Large Circus and dated the Elephant trainer while she was one off the girls riding bareback on the horses! During this time my Auntie had 3 children 1 and then twins. All were adopted. To say we were gobsmacked would be an understatement but yes.For a moment I thought we were at the wrong Funeral!

I can see a Netflix series being made!

  7. Update 840 days now !! It’s not finished.I spent most of the time unwrapping the car then it would start to rain so covers back on. Bit like an English Test Match! So moneys saved up and a large canopy constructed over rear driveway and Herald, jobs a goodn.

Aquired Doors Bonnet Bulkhead and rear tub, some alloy wheels! The JC Midge that has a 1200 herald engine.

This first week of September I used the wiring loom all beit about 6 wires from the Midge to use on the 13/60 and almost got her to turn over! First time in 25 years, well the Starter turned, had to use the graphite dust on the bendix problem now is I need to rethink what I forgot to do with the the clutch as I cannot get her to go into neutral it will be something simple like I should have read the manual! Instead of trying to remember stuff from the 1980s when I last done them! At leat the wheels weren’t on so it wouldn’t have shot off down the drive!

  8. Please can someone give me the correct name for the items pictured,I’m struggling with the diagram that has been put up for Alan Re Bolt positions on his 13/60 as I’m in a similar place. I would like to know the correct name of these items and if possible the best place to obtain some replacements as looking at the diagram I think I need 8 yet only 2 fell off the car when dismantling! Many thanks Adrian.

  9. So I have spent the weekend clearing my workshop and putting it all back, then my Son in law came round who wanted to borrow the welder compressor and my angle grinder which was on my workbench, I picked it up and underneath the grinder was the pack of bolts I’d been looking for. It seems like a Week for Expletives! Now I have a cunning Plan! I have set up a what’s app group with my wife and named it SAFE PLACE then when I have an item that needs storing, I photo it in it’s stored location and put that photo and description in the what’s app group! Job Done!  Now where’s my phone!

  10. Does anyone else suffer from SPS I’ve bought some fittings boxed them up and put them in a Safe Place now I can’t find them! I know they will turn up when I’m looking for something else! But it’s ruddy annoying when the workshop is abit OCD every thing in its right place! Except I didn’t label up Safe place! Prehaps I’m just LMM!  Loosing my Marbles!
