Having nothing better to do I started spotting Triumphs on The Telivisual device in the corner of the room ! So Tonight Friday 3 Feb BBC 1 Beyond Paradise episode 2 a Triumph maybe Toledo in a workshop garage colour yellow.Watching the Dectorists and one the main characters has a Yellow Tr 7. Emmerdale and Rhoana’s mum has a green Herald estate. Need some warm weather to get out and do some work on mine!

Would the clutch plates from a 13/60 fit a 1200 ? Just feeling a bit brassic at the moment!

Thankyou Clive. All noted and much appreciated. I need to do my homework on the track days as I might have an eyesight issue that would affect sharing a track, But I have driven a track near Loughborough that allows for these issues.

Thanks Pete and Tim. That’s a great help. The plan is to make it Fast and Safe for the Track, but it will be coming second fiddle to the 13/60 convertible project but I intend to get it sorted sooner rather than Later before Domestic management realise what’s going on!

I’ve been given a JC Midge that has a Herald 1200 high compression engine. The vehicle will never get to go on the Road Legally Due to DVLA IVA rules so I thought I would Pimp the engine, if it was you what mods would you do to a basic 1200? Obviously I would need to do something to help stop the car as well so thoughts on upgrades many thanks Adrian B. 

I’m off this Sunday down the N26andN5 somewhere east of Paris Roof down 8 track wound up playing “Je-taime” if it hasn’t been banned in France as well! Might go thru the Arc de Triumph as well! Who knows where the sat nag will take us!

Nothing like a Good Rustoration but you will need a shed load of rusty coloured notes to patch the gaps!.just so you don’t feel alone on the rusty front here’s some I’m working on still!

Back in September I was fortunate to be able to have a family holiday to the Greek island of Rhodes lovely place.whilst walking along the beach with a gorgeous young Lady my wife a complete stranger stopped us and commented on the T-shirt I was wearing, which had an advert from the 1970’s of a Triumph 13/60 convertible. Long story short he used to have one to take his girlfriend out in now his wife , We talked about Triumphs and 1360’s

Just recently I was helping to organise a Christmas meal for our Village Elders and a new old boy who I had to help make arrangements for we’re chatting and we got on the subject of cars and he had a 13/60  convertible like mine frome new and proceeded to show me photos of his mum sitting in side the car which he was obviously very proud off! 
so may be other close encounters out there! Especially when your not not in your beloved Triumphs.

Hi all , has anyone used such a tool and can you offer a review of said item as I may be putting it on my Christmas list as I do have a substantial amount of body work to do and are looking for an alternative to blasting ! Thanks .

No the engine is only 3 years old and only done 20 k! I should now add that it went for a MOT with the main dealership who said before I mentioned anything that they would check the oil level prior to doing there MOT check!Hence my thoughts on Bovine movements!

Hi all! Has anyone suffered high oil pressure on any car they have had resulting in the Dipstick being blown out and subsequently oil covering there engine bay! This is the excuse I’m being fed at the moment as this has just occurred on my daughter’s transit, I recon though it was a dipstick handler who was too limp wristed to push it firmly in! And now I’m being fed some runny stuff that comes from the rear end of male cattle! Problem is it’s soaked the alternator in oil so that’s another story!

As my wife doesn’t drive nor do I now I think it would be to sneaky and also very risky as I just bought her a Bow and setof arrows for her birthday!🏹

Yep and I keep telling the wife  look there’s a nice GT6 , then she reminds me I got enough to do!

Hi,Knowledgeable people, a friend of mine has acquired a Triumph Kit car Project and we are trying to Id the engine if someone can help us out please, apparently a 1200! So that narrows it down! Engine number GD47036HE. many thanks Adrian B.

I agree with chaps above but also consider using a good weather app on your phone so you can make the most of them dry days and start saving for a good garage , nothing worse than spending all day covering and uncovering the project and getting nothing done. Best of luck with your project.

I don’t recon on doing this to the 13/60 But I did mastic the boot of my MG Midget to stop it leaking ! That was alright till my dad wanted his tools from my boot the following weekend! I was the only Tool in the garage ! According to him.

The best modification so farI have done to my 13/60 is to remove the Maple tree growing through the floor pan  and roof!

Here’s a First! Your local correspondent is today in the Number One Lounge at Gatwick and very nice it is, can’t believe how fast the broad band is compared to home ! I might take up a residence here!

Keep going I say, I recon I need another pandemic and lockdown to keep the family away ! Then I might have the time to complete my restoration by the time I’m 75 currently I’m 62!
