    I will concede that maybe in a Spitfire it is not so important to have a sucker fan, but a GT6 has such a minimal radiator surface area, that I would say essential. 

    I am not a fan of those Kenlowe type probes that one inserts through a top hose joint, always looks like a leak will eventually happen. Or cutting and inserting a take off block and fitting a union.

    One can spend alot of money on a 1300cc engine. Probably the most sensible option would be too think about getting the basics done before starting to tune.

    As Toledo's don't have overdrive, I'd think about controlling coolant and oil temp and fit a bigger core to the radiator and a thermostatically controlled oil cooler.

    Triumph's 1300 engine is very underrated and one can do so much.
