Mine may be of some reference too: there's a list of bits needed.

No idea — I wouldn't worry too much about the inside — where would the moisture come from? (condensation?)
-
I got my M-T-P mild steel 6-3-1 manifold aluminium coated — that has stopped it from rusting and adds some insulating thermal qualities (I believe).
At least last time I looked it hadn't rusted.
Cost about £100. -
The wrap insulates, right?
So it's now cooler — thus the exhaust gases are cooler — thus the unburnt fuel doesn't explode when it comes out the tail pipe and hits oxygen?
That's my logic anyway. -
Why is this even a discussion?
Fan on the engine side of the rad, sucking through the radiator — controlled by a thermostatic switch. Never need worry about anything ever again. -

Ohh I missed this — tempted — but not in the Triumph…

He was having issues at the start — I was helping him out with a timing gun
Shame regards the retirements — especially Tim's -
Yes, good luck everyone — I am planning to come down to the start to relive the buzz of the start.
I still don't envy anyone :) -

Any chance of being taken for a mad 0-60 dash, I'm quite surprised at the acceleration of my mk1 saloon and I'd just like to know how fast a vitesse is, I suppose a GT6 or Git fire would do !
Cheers chaps,see you Sunday
Saloons are surprisingly quick 0-60 — doesn't matter too much as it'll trash a Vit or GT6 in the bends anyway -
I am doing a track day in July in my new car — will report back if it ruins me forever regards track days in my Triumph — have a feeling it will!

Hmmm, tempted…

Bill,
Sounds like you should start with a Megasquirt running ignition only.
Injection is then a simple step away of plumbing and injector wiring (and a wideband sensor)

If you can't get your entry in turn up on the day with your credit card and I am sure you will be able to enter.
I was wondering that — as I am taking a break from work right now I am free on Monday anyway. -

I have used this kit (it came with the bits in the project I bought) I am told it improves over the standard roto setup.
Who told you that?
The brackets are a bit of a bodge.
The original mounting location must be better.
(I have the brackets on my Spitfire — I wish I had done it properly and paid up for the wheel arch brackets to be welded in. -
You can rig something up with a simple T shaped nylon hose joiner — I have a similar set up on my saloon.
-
You didn't notice on Saturday!? :)
-
If you don't mind emailing me the originals that's would be cool — my email is gmail so you can send as much as you like to it.
-
Sure is — Cheers Colin!
-
Yes — did anyone get any photos? I was trying harder for photo opportunity than speed I think :)
-
Great stuff everyone — enjoyed the slightly damp conditions as it seems to suit the saloon.
-
Be rude not to join in…

I love how you could hear your TR6 so far away!
Not overly impressed with those fast MG saloons — I was quicker than all of them at Silverstone.
I guess they may weigh a bit more than mine.
