Hi all. I have a late 1973 mk4 1300cc Spitty. It is fitted with the manifolds/carbs from a 1500. The HS4'S have the ABT needles as per 1500 spec. I reckon these are too rich for a 1300. (Sooty plugs). Has anyone got this setup running on their Spitfire and if so, what needles have been fitted ? I have tried a bit of research on this and selection seems a bit of a nightmare. I think the AAN 1300 spec needle is a better starting point. Any help would be great. Thanks.
