  1. Yeah agree... Thanks Casper. Yeh unfortunatley mine doesnt have a hole so yep wil have to drill one :(. I can kindve coonect the dots from there. Cheers
  2. Hi Casper, Despite me trying to figure this out im a bit stumped?? I have the horn push cap and the boss has no hole for the plastic horn commector orig to make contact with the brass ring? Do you mind giving me a bit more detail? Or if anyone has hooked a mountney wheel and used the centre horn push?
  3. Uh no.... Any tips? Perhaps once i buy it you can give some advice.
  4. Thanks casper.. Can i ask you what type of wheel brand you have? I'm looking at a mountney. I'm about 6'2.. Did you bring the colum adjust towards you a bit more? Thanks heaps!
  5. Just want to bump this one... My current factory wheel on my 1360 is cracked so want to swap to a sporty wheel. Currently i have to slip my thighs under the wheel so will try adjusting the colum towards me. Whats the preferred size people go for on upgrades... 13" or 14" ... Thing is i have found a local supplier here in NEW ZEALAND that sells 14" mountneys just hoping that would be an improvement on leg room ? Or most go for 13"? Thanks heaps for any thoughts
  6. Thanks guys.. Nah still trying to keep it all fairly orig etc.. I'll price up some 145s Cheers
  7. Hi all, Have read a couple of threads but see a few diffrrent views. Question i have a 1360 with orig wheels and skinny tyres.. What is the best size (widest) to get in todays sizing.. Dont want it to rub on lock etc... Many thanks!!
  8. That's a great - really descriptive guide Bill. I will give it a whirl! Thanks! JUG
  9. Hi guys, 2 questions... Is there a reason why my 1968 13/60 has 5/8" wheel cylinders as opposed to the other size? - i thought the 5/8" was only on earlier models? 1200s/948s etc... Question 2 Any real good tips/tricks/procedure for putting the new shoes back on... without destroying my fingers etc.. pulling springs tight... I thought there was some easy sequence possibly?' Thanks in advance JUG :o
  10. Hi guys, I have also removed the really crusty dried up white "bumpers" off the rear of my 13/60. Only to reveal some more lovely rust. (as in photos) Question a lot of photos i see of other heralds , people don't have the bumpers on the cars they seem to have a flush rounded moulding but no track on the valance. Am i missing something can you remove these rusty bumper tracks and just have smooth finish (if that makes sense). And if that was the case could you later on add bumpers by making some sort of strip that you perhaps bolt onto the valance?? Any valance / bumper experts who can share some light on this subject would be hugely appreciated! many thanks in advance. Jug

  13. Hi guys, I'm wanting to remove my fuel tank so that i can flush it out etc on my 13/60.... It has old fuel and lots of dirt in it. But seem crucially STUCK What i have done so far. Unplugged sender wires. Removed 4 x bolts in the 4 corners of the tank... I can see a real rusty old drain plug hanging through the boot floor under the car but seems like it has clearance all around it... (i pushed in some sort of gromet/sponge) up from around it. The filler pipe almost comes in the boot with lots of wriggling but the back corner seems stuck.. like something is holding it under the tank?? Have i missed something really basic?? - I've read that i should really avoid mashing away at the drain plug as they are quite weak or something??. However it seems like the tank won't lift up from the floor...(around this area) Hope this makes sense..  any suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance
