  1. Having recently had the same issue I would highly recommend the puller that eBay seller sponmon sells; his puller is very well engineered and worked a treat 😀
  2. As things stand it seems that the threads of the puller are jammed inside the tool itself even with the tool completely removed from the hub the centre bolt won't budge at all in either direction I'm waiting for a response from Canley's about it.

  5. How much force should it take? I took heed of all the warnings about using generic pulling tools and bought the pulling tool from Canleys. I locked the half shaft in the vice, wound the nyloc hub nut back to the end of the half shaft (leaving it on the end to protect the threads and stop the hub from flying off), fitted the tool with the wheel nuts then proceeded to tighten the tools bolt with a long breaker bar but then rather that the hub releasing from the shaft I got to a point where the bolt wouldn't tighten any more or loosen off!. I must be doing something wrong but I don't know what

I'm currently cleaning up and painting all of the running gear parts for my 13/60 ready to bolt them on to the freshly painted chassis; I have heard that it is not advisable to paint the propshaft as paint might affect the balance.  Is that true? if so what is the best way to protect it from the elements?
  8. Does anyone have any advice on storing the engine and rear deck? I am about to undertake a full restoration of my 13/60 convertible however I doubt I will have enough space in the garage to keep the rear deck indoors while I work on the chassis (most of the outriggers are shot :( and I'd like to make sure there aren't any other nasties waiting for me).  As it will be outside, will a tarpaulin be enough? what is the best orientation to keep it to limit damage/distortion? I will be storing the engine in the garage however I plan to drain the oil/cooling system beforehand; is there anything I need to be aware of other than block up any holes to prevent ingress of dirt?. Thanks in advance, John

I'm watching this thread with interest as I'm about to undertake a full restoration of my 1969 13/60 convertible too :) I would also consider security while it's in bits, some unscrupulous scrap metal people won't consider that you might actually want the parts despite a little surface rust  :o
