  1. Anyone? Someone out there must have a trusted recommended body specialist
  2. Hi Bill I met you at Beaulieu international auto jumble last September and you had them for sale. They don't appear to be an exact matching pair, do you recall if they were Stanpart? Pete
  3. I am looking for a recommended bodywork repairer experienced in fitting rear lower wings on Heralds. My Vitesse has had replacement arch and lower wing work carried out badly resulting in the offside wing losing its correct profile above the wheel arch. The near side is original and probably more suited to fitting a repair panel. I have a pair of wings purchased from Bill Davis but not feeling competent in doing the work myself, I have read complete wing replacement is tricky. I'm based in North Kent but willing to travel.
  4. Thanks Pete A really useful company, just noticed that Bill has been in touch ( hadn't seen his PM - sorry Bill !)so will go to him but baines will be useful for my soft top window seals

  6. Hi I met Bill from Rarebits at Beaulieu auto jumble last September and hoped to buy some lip type door seal for my Vitesse convertible. Bill was short of it on the day but I am struggling to contact him thru facebook or a PM on this forum as I am hoping he may still have some available following the closure of Rarebits4classics. Does anyone have some available that I could buy? ( I know Bill was the sole supplier of this)   Has anyone been in contact with him recently?

  8. Excellent suggestion, I'll bear that in mind, thanks
  9. Sounds and looks like just what I was looking for, thanks
  10. Thanks both, had another good closer look with a torch and it looks like the F is actually a very badly stamped E so it's a mk2 2000 engine as suggested
  11. Thanks, yes I've found reference to that now, the MFA code is puzzling tho
  12. My mk2 vitesse has an engine number MFA 144 ESS ???? - struggling to find a reference to this code , MGA & MEA appear to be from triumph 2000's Can anyone help?
  13. Thanks all, decision made, will be ringing Canleys in the morning and ordering a semi sports system - single pipe. Seems a shame that the Phoenix system is pretty much new and retails at £400+ , hopefully I can put it on eBay and offset best part of the cost of the new exhaust
  14. I am looking for honest opinions and options for my Mk2 Vitesse  that I purchased recently. The PO has recently fitted Phoenix twin exhaust pipes, connected with a Y piece to the original manifold and although it sounds great, in my opinion it just looks too bulky and ugly from the rear. Am I alone in this opinion or have any Vitesse owners fitted an alternative sports system that closely retains the original look from the rear but will give me the growl of the Phoenix pipes? I had in mind selling these on and investing in an alternative... Thanks Pete
  15. I had hoped that it was a blocked breather as I found it was completely blocked 12 months back but the seals have continued to leak, 2 quite badly. Blocked breather may have caused the issue originally I guess and damaged the ageing seals.
