  1. I wonder if this would fit... ? http://www.racetorations.co.uk/triumph-c56/tr2-c3/tr2-electrical-instruments-c21/headlamp-cowl-seal-p898 or this.. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Headlight-Rubber-GASKET-SEAL-for-1-side-on-Triumph-Herald-948-Saloon-1959-61/332255612319?hash=item4d5bfa4d9f:g:Ln4AAOSwDDxa7B7O
  2. Cheers Dan I've just spent hours making gaskets for my sidelights out of neoprene foam but I can't find any rubber sheet. Needs to be about 4 mm thick looking at the old one, any ideas?
  3. hm.. OK so the part I pointed to is actually the bowl sealing rubber (I have that) I have an additional rubber between the bowl and body - I'll try and get a picture.
  4. Hi all.... I'm refitting my headlamps and need a new gasket that sits between the hooded chrome bezel and the body. I don't see them listed on any site :( Can anyone help? Part 11 in this diagram : https://www.canleyclassics.com/triumph-herald-1200-headlamps-sidelamps-tail-lamps-and-number-plate-lamps Cheers Rob
  5. Ah, my Workshop manual and Haynes just says 'Remove grease cap'... useful!
  6. Both good ideas! I'll do that when I get my replacements 😉
  7. Mangled this in the process though... How the hell are they meant to come off?
  8. Well - I did this job today (the dismantling part anyway) and all went well. Looks like they were just about ready for doing too !
  9. Anyone got any 1200 wings? Struggling a bit... !
  10. Great, thanks. That sounds doable - as tight as it will go without binding then or should there be a bit of rock?
  11. So.... a bit naive here so excuse my stupidity! I bought these wings from a guy who said they were for a 1200. They aint. I want to resell them but want to advertise them correctly...
  12. Missed this reply - much appreciated sparky_spit Any tips on 'adjust the wheel bearing correctly' - What's involved there?
  13. Thanks Roger - I have a front end rebuild planned but trying to get the trunnion changed for the MOT. I'll just strip it down, I may as well get it sorted properly! I have found some white zinc grease on Amazon but I'm sure any water repellant grease will be fine. As you say, it's more of a barrier than a lubricant that's needed. Cheers all! Rob
