  1. Thanks for this ill bear it in mind when I start looking.
  2. Hi all, I'm getting to the stage when I need to think about replacing the carpets in the 1200 Hearld. I'm sure their are plenty of you in Triumph land that have already done this. I was hoping for a few pointers on the best palce buy them, how to fit them and other parts I need, the usual advive for a novice restorer. Thanks
  3. I am getting around to sorting out the clutch, I need a new master and slave cylinders, on order. When I took of the salve cylinder off I found a what I would describe as a rod with a bolt on the end sticking out of the bell housing. See attached image, (I don't how to in-bed an image and I'm sorry for the poor quality of the pic). Can any one tell me if that what I should see, it looks a bit Heath Robinson to me.
  4. Thanks everyone for the advice, at least I know I he some options.
  5. Hi I am all most ready to get the old girl an MOT, first one in at least 10 years, but I need new steel wheels and new tyres both of which seem to be as rare as hen's teeth. Can anyone point me in the right direction I have looked on my normal web sites and it seems they none of them hold new wheels. I have cleaned the inside of the wheels with a wire brush and was surprised just how much rust came of them. Would shot blasting and powder coating be a better option. Your advise would be most welcome.
