    Thanks - I've found the remains of a frayed bit of wire where it once used to be!

    My horn has stopped working - investigation is showing that whilst the steering surround has an earth the shaft itself doesn't. The ring is live and shorting between the ring and the surround makes the horn work but not between the ring and the steering shaft. Any ideas ... Gavin
