Success! I left it ticking over for a while to get some heat into it, then started it in gear with the wheels chocked. It freed off on the second attempt. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks for the replies, i'll start with the warming through heat soak jobbie first. That can be done whilst still clutching a hot cup of coffee!

The Herald has been stood for a month whilst weve had some building work done and now the clutch is stuck on. I've tried starting it in gear which has had no effect. Is there anything else to try before i start taking the gearbox off?

Does anyone know if herald chrome hubcaps fit on 4.5 x 13 dolomite steel wheels?
