  1. I'm starting a nag thread to get the Munt La Schera tunnel included in the route this year!!  Those who were on the 2011 run will remember it - for me, the highlight of the route.  15mins one way, then it changes direction - that one!  Hewn out of the rock, and just a fabulous noise all through it from the engine noise reverberating off the walls..... YES PLEASE!!! :P
  2. Ten of us booked into the Holiday Inn Express in Singen.... now looking at hotels in Calais - maybe the Campanile.  The Cottage previously mentioned here only has a couple of rooms left....
  3. Hi Charlie - I've sent you three emails with some pics attached- hope you find some of them useful! Reg Barton
  4. Count me in!  My team are fighting for places on the 10CR 2013! Bring it ONNNNNN!
  5. We really enjoyed the somewhat spirited drive from Gledrid to Sugar Loaf, once it had got onto the twisty bits!!   What really made this special for me was co-driver Martin - who was showing the PI the was in charge during this section, and came out with the comment that summed up the whole trip for me:- "How could anyone not find this absolutely bloody brilliant?". Said it all for me!
  6. Hi - In the depths of Ssturday night (or it might have been Sunday morning - who the heck knows by then?) I gave someone a litre bottle of Auto Transmission fluid.  I know how much it had cost me, 'cos I bought it just before the run in case my power steering started to leak again - so if whoever it was would like to send me a fiver, then that would be appreciated! ;)
  7. I got the TomTom XL Live Europe.  Was cheapest in Halfords.  Comes with Europe maps - not brilliant definition outside the UK, but plenty good enough. The Live Services work much better than I expected, and even work in Europe, showing traffic hold ups and whereabouts of cheapest petrol etc.  Dead easy to use, but I've never used the Itinerary Planning, so don't know how good that is.
  8. Hmmm.  I tried to get the converter to work and failed miserably.  I'll try uploading them direct into my sat nav, but had better success two years ago using the waypoints as direct entries into the sat nav.
  9. Good bit of film Jim - shame it was only with a Z3..... Disappointed with the (lack of) response to a pre-10CR taster - but thanks for the support Ferny! - so perhaps we should tack on to your proposed excursion in July?? If you'd be OK with that, then PM me and we can discuss the details...!! Reg
  10. 1. Reg Barton 2. chris Rabbets 3. Patrick McNaught 4. Chris Andrews ....come on then guys!!!  Are we going to get a trip up for this then???
  11. Hmmmmm........ this might sound like a lot of fun. Shall we start a list here of interested people?  If we get to, say, half a dozen then it'd be worth a serious look at. I'll start it off with me:- 1. Reg Barton
  12. Brilliant link Jim - I enjoyed reading that during a boring afternoon at work!! I wonder if the 50 quid from RyanAir is return?? If so, this sounds like a LOT of fun for the money... Perhaps we should start a list of people who fancy doing it??? I was going to have a go at the Bangers to Barcelona run in May http://barcelonabangers.co.uk/index.php)[/url], but then the wife reminded me that we're away in May.  Something to do with having put up with her for 25 years or something.....
