    rear seat belts

My son would like me to put rear seat belts in Herald 1200 saloon. Is this an easy task? Richard Briscoe can supply and fit some for approx £90. Is this worthwhile? or could I source and fit them myself a lot cheaper? Cheers.

My worry would be that the water will still go somewhere if it cant get to the floor.
  3. I am a carpet fitter by trade (although not often in cars). I reckon carpet with a built in soundproofing is whats known as 'feltbacked' carpet. It was developed after the old foambacked carpets were banned for being very unhealthy (especially after a few years and the foam dried out and went to powder. I am currently ripping out my original 1969 Herald carpets and I have some good feltback to put in. I am planning to place velcro strips on the floor to hold the carpet in place. This will enable me to lift the carpets whenever required. I will let you know how I get on.
  4. My herald 1200 1969 has original loop pile carpets which are absolutely knackered. On old felt underlay. They are a faded brown colour. I am fitting my own very dark grey felt back cut pile soon (I am a carpet fitter). Had a daft experience with an idiot on ebay called Danbury classic carpets (or summat like that). He sells you a carpet but then admits he doesnt have it and it will be at least 4 weeks for delivery. Still battling to get him to refund me even though he agreed to. Beware he is useless.
