Hey yall, Ive just got back from the states where ive been for three months to a poorley herald. Before i left i ended up stranded at the side of the road after my diff ran dry and the shaft coming in from the prop fused itself together. Ive changed the diff today for one that came with the car as a mysterious spare? :-/ anywhoo, after changing it i still haver terrible diff whine and itts almonst unbearable, but i does work :-/ does anyone have a spare diff that they know is okay i could buy or any suggestions as to why the diff whine could be so bad!?

Wow, didnt realise so much was different, I got the engine and carbs for £120 off ebay due to a terrible advert and description. picked it up last night and, although a little grubby its not in bad shape, so, worst comes to the worst i can sell it on after a clean up for a mean profit. As it doesn't look like a weekend project it sounds like it will be difficult as the herald is my daily car, maybe have it as an ongoing project to get all the parts together and wait till my 6 points have come off my license and i can really afford to insure it :-/

Hi Guys, I bought a vitesse engine for cheap the other day, just wondering what modifications will be needed to do the swap from a 13/60 to a vitesse 2.0 Cheers

cheers dave where did you get your from? as i said i was looking at the moss ones but they are lower poundage unless you get the race lowered ones?

Hi all, Just a quick one, im looking at some uprated springs for the front of the herald, they have three options, two uprated in poundage from standard and lowered and a third at race spec and race lowered, Has anyone had any experience of them and does anyone know roughly how much each one will lower the front by, im running 185's on the front so i have to be careful with how low i go, Thanks in advance Josh

Well this morning when popping my car into the garage, for no particular reason to my knowledge the drivers door glass exploded into my lap. Two questions 1. does anyone else have any experience with imploding windows? 2. does anyone have a drivers side glass for a herald anywhere in Birmingham? Now for the good bit...

going to give it a crack this week, went around all the nuts and bolts yesterday and gave them a good spray with some lube and just started to undo them so i know none of them are seized. shouldn't be to bad of a job now i know how! ;)
