Hi. I will remove the old one first then if not the pip I will remove the manifold to look at the core plug. I’ve not long had the car and checking it all over before I take it out for a ride there is a lot I’ve got to do so it won’t be on the road for a bit.

Hi yes I see what you mean. When I tried to have a look it was dripping down off the pipe but looking at the place of the cor plug it might be spraying on it then dripping down so I will take the pipe off then have a little look if I’m not sure I will take the manifold off. Then I may clean the engine up to see if the other gaskets are ok. I no the rocker box gasket is leaking. I noticed that there wasn’t a temperature gauge in the car so how would I know if it was overheating. How hard is it to fit one and where would the thermostat censor go.

Hi thanks all for all your replys. It a 1964 12/50 engine it might have been on the change over. If you have a close look at the photos you can just see a drip coming on the pip.

Had a little look again at my car as I haven’t had a chance since I got it a couple of weeks ago I taken a couple of spark plugs out to replace them and noticed that one is short reach in the head and the ones I got for the car was long reach. It’s a good job that I looked before I put them in. So my question is what is the right plug long or short reach. And noticed that I have a little leak on the still water pipe that goes behind the exhaust down pipe are they hard to get hold of. And the carb looks a bit worse for where.

.morning Clive when I drove it to my garage it was still a bit heavy I will record how much pressure is needed to turn the steering from side to side and upload it

Thank you people. It’s good to pass experience over. I am going to jack it up spin the wheels and turn the steering from side to side and see. I was told that it was heavy but it seems to heavy stiff but I will see. I will have a good day to have a look soon and give it a lots of attention and hopefully will pay me back.

Hi. All thanks for welcoming me to the group. I will have lots of questions for you all as this is my first triumph herald I got to have a chance to have a better look at the car as it’s now in a garage I have rented I had a look at the sunroof and definitely needs replacing. The steering is very heavy brakes are a bit sized and engine running ruff side back windows rubbers need replacing so. Got some work ahead of me. So please feel free to give me your expertise any help would be much appreciated.

Hi. All I’m new to this club and I own a triumph herald and the sunroof needs replacing . I can see that there is runners head lining extra. Is there any advice on the best way to go about it. Or plans photos of how to do it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
