  1. Just had a look on line as I am still waiting for the postman and an excellent mag as usual. Is there a arcive where the old mags are stored on line at all? I may have missed this?

  2. I would bow to Rob and Nick expertise but I would hope that any 20/50 engine oil would have some pressure at working temp and not zero?

I would try a second gauge first just to check before you look further.

    I also use a 20/60 oil

  3. I have just read that the LT77 Gearbox was a Jaguar developed gearbox My understanding was that it was a Triumph developed Gearbox to replace the aging Sprint/2000 gearbox?

I know that they were used in the Tr7 and Tr8 but what was the first car they were used on?

Anyone fitted one to a 2000/Stag?

    thanks

  4. one other advantage it that the K&N is washable and can be re used time and time over and I have one on my Stag in the standard housing.

    Just a thought...

  5. Colin if you are interested i do have a fully rebuild Manual and over drive gearbox (A type) sitting on my garage floor. If you are interested PM me and I can send you some picture and give you some details? Martin

  6. interesting I have been thinking about one for the Stag which is similar to the Spitfire. There are ones that in effect replace the rear view mirror are they any good does anyone have any experience with them.

Ideally I would be good to have a fixed one in replacement of the rear view mirror that doesn't look to obvious and then wire it in permanently with hidden wiring down the screen pillar perhaps. This would then save me keep taking it in and out and unsticking/mounting it from the car?

  7. Andy I would suggest just using the word "recommend having some one that is vaguely technical". I am not sure I would put myself in the category of competent amateur mechanic.... I'll  have a go, but how do you measure it too...  Don't forget changing a water pump on a Stag can be a whole can of worms too... I get you point though....
