James Godfrey-Dunne fitted new seals to both my Mk1 & Mk2 cars, he gets his seals from Canley Classics next door, they use COH Baines.
Thanks for the positive feedback Ian

My wife and son used our recently purchased Saloon to travel to Gloucester to spend New Years with my mother in-law.
Being outside in almost 48 hours of continuous rain has highlighted a significant leak with the front passenger footwell turning into a paddling pool!
I've removed the carpets from that area to let them dry out. At this stage I am unsure where the water is gaining entry.
Over the Christmas period I replaced the drivers door and aperture seals and that footwell was dry.
So I am thinking I will start by replacing the same seals on the passenger door.
I am removing the dashboard and facia this weekend so that I can gain access to the defective heater unit. Once that lots out it will give me a clear view of the inside edge of the windscreen seal and surrounding metalwork. The outer side of the windscreen seal has sealant on it, so perhaps a new screen seal is the solution.
Rubber ducks now on order from Amazon!

Hi All
Can anyone recommend a good supplier for the windscreen rubber seal? So far, the only one I have found is Rimmers.
Thanks

The CT Cheshire & Staffordshire Group are having a run out on New Years Day. Starting at Nantwich Sainsbury 10am and finishing at a cafe south of Whitchurch for a Brunch.
All CT members are welcome to join us in their Triumphs for a blast out and a bit of food.

Looks spot on.
I am looking forward to seeing the car on a CT event in 2024.
Hi Tim
I suspect Mike Bradbury and I will be using it on the 2024 Coast to Coast. The 2024 Border Raider is also pretty much a nailed on certainty as my wife Su is very taken with driving the Saloon.

After Tim's earlier suggestion, I purchased a pair of TR6 seals from Paddocks and fitted them to our Saloon today. The seals fitted a treat especially on the front door. For the rear you have to straighten out a short length of the curved section for it to be long enough.
I'm pleased with the results. Thanks Tim.

You can add 2 or 3 extra gauges to a 2.5 dash, does make wood slightly thin in places on RHS, so need to avoid forcing it back into hole. Have to lose dimmer for 3rd one.
I had 2 2.5PI with modified dash in that way.
Hi
Any chance of a photo please?
-
The car already has 2.5pi dash fitted.
The Stag one has more gauge slots. But if it won't fit it's a mute point

Hi All
Will a Stag dashboard fit into a Mk2 Saloon?
The woodwork in the saloon I've bought requires a refresh and I'm thinking of refurbing a spare Stag dash I possess as that has more gauge positions.

Hi All
Which seals do people recommend for the horizontal seals on the front and rear door windows?
Thanks in anticipation

Hi All
I am pleased to say we are the new custodians of Moby, now renamed Casper after Casper the friendly ghost.
It was an interesting drive up the M1 and M6 to Cheshire this afternoon

I should have added that Ibis, one of our cats, never sits on the modern always the Herald, which proves the Herald IS best
Our oldest cat "Sophie" loved sunbathing on the Stag's softop whilst the car was parked on the driveway. The hairs she left behind were a bugger to remove from the fabric and on last years 10CR some of them were still visible when we arrived in Italy!😂

Daylight running lights on cars in the UK simply make it more dangerous for motorcyclists!
You used to be able to spot a motorbike by their headlight. These days they just merge into the maze of bright led car lamps.

I am interested in doing the same mod to our Mark 3 GT6.
