What sad news. She was in fine form whilst we were having an evening meal in Porthmadog, the night before the Coast to Coast. After that event she was off to France for the Le Man's Classic.

This evening was the Cheshire and Staffordshire Area Group's monthly meeting. We also welcomed Roy Lacey, Alan Lacey and Neil Gunnell from the Shropshire group. The Falcon carpark was rammed with a total of fifteen Triumphs which is a new record one one of our gatherings. I can't recall the last time I saw 4 Spitfires lined up (not counting carshows)

Hi All
In the latest CT mag it makes mention of a Drivers Briefing before the event. Can someone in the know please advise the date and location of this meeting? I am assuming it will be on either a Saturday or a Sunday and there are very few of those left between now and the start of September and if your like me, your diary gets filled up with family commitments etc months in advance!
Thanks in anticipation

Knowing the 10CR route would be helpful in determining if any of the LEZ are likely to affect us!

Mine arrived today.

This is an important question... no mention in the Handy Hints (unless I missed it)
The ICMV is mentioned in the handy hints document which is how I found out about it.

Today I've been chatting to the chap at the DVLA who issues the ICMV. His advise is get your application in sooner rather than later. He is a one man band within the DVLA.

Well... best laid plans of mice and men... rear carb p155ing fuel. Air filter box off - signs of both carbs overflowing fuel (rear much worse).
So it's manifold off (I hate trying to get the waterways etc to seal refitting these damned things) and I'll pull the carbs apart and see what I find.
Doubt it's the pump - still on mechanical and it was piddling out even on tick over. But I guess there's a chance it's that.
Why do you have to remove the manifold to investigate the carbs?

It will all be western europe from the overnight stops.
I would guess France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Lichenstein, Luxembourg. England is the assumed 10th. Slovenia is an outside possibility
Monaco?

Porthmadog Shell garage does not sell E5 V Power Petrol. They do however, sell V Power Diesel. I nearly made the same mistake on Friday evening when we called in there. I had the pump in my hand before it registered in my brain that the pump cover was black and yellow rather than the correct red and yellow.

A suggestion from one of our local members is TR Bitz. Tel no. 01925 756000. Ask for Craig. They are located near Warrington
Good luck

Hi All
In the latest edition of the club mag on page 13 there is an obituary for Jenny Mindak. Within that article there is mention of a CT tour of Wales in 2007. Did anybody on here participate in that event? I've never heard of it.

I'm not totally sure, as it doesn't affect me as I live in France, but I believe you do now need an international drivers permit and green card for the insurance, thanks to Br....
Give it a rest. I am surprised that someone hasn't tried to blame Russia invading Ukraine on Brexit!

It is.
Time for cars and a chat in the car park at Lands End and again about the trip when you get to Ness Point, plus, if you want it, there are some good cafes locally to Ness Point.
Give it a go.
I might well do that next year😀

Not heard of that idea for a run. Sounds fun
