  1. Yes, that's my combo.  It does (did, SORN'ed for 2 years now :() struggle a bit on a long climb in o/d top, but I was more than happy with the reduced effort otherwise. I did have the 3.89 diff for a while and this may suit more 'spirited' driving.

  2. Those are cross-ply, might be worth checking the age of the rubber. I haven't looked into the availability.  I think most people have moved over to radial tyres.

  3. I once had a core plug on the front end of a Reliant 750 sidevalve blow straight through the radiator....

Fit new ones while the engine is out for peace or mind.

  4. Sounds like the pivots are seized. The base should move forwards as the squab is folded forward. You will need fingers like E.T to work on this!

  5. "I think if it's as bigger job as it looks then I might give it a miss just for now and get them to fit as best I can.  Considering the chrome strip lines up door to rear wing, and the swage lines (?) all match up when the doors closed but I have a large gap at th bottom of the door does this indicate poorly fit door skin?"

Doesn't a large gap at the bottom of the door indicate tub spread?

  6. When I bought my 'wire' steering wheel for my 13/60, it had two leather covers fitted. Felt very nice. They have both since disintegrated from old age and abuse.  Replacement is on the 'to do' list.
I've previously had a Mota-Lita wood rim wheel on another car and found the finish to be less than satisfactory. It didn't seem to be very UV resistant in an open top car...
