  3. Both my Estate and Midge run 4 hole diffs.. 3.89 in the estate, 3.63 in the Midge.
  4. I have the 1500 engine with 3 rail overdrive in my 13/60. I had to fit a small removable tunnel section. I seem to recall it was marginal, but I don't have ET fingers, so went ahead with the mod.
  5. I've just successfully done this..  https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00MUO7RSC/ref=pe_3187911_185740111_TE_item  cut out the centre hole after marking with dividers or similar. Mount the rim plate with the incomplete gasket to the bonnet then fit the chrome surround. use a white marker to show where to cut the outline. Dismantle, cut with sharp stanley knife and jobs a good 'un.
  6. I don't mind paying the postage if the seals work.  Baines's web page does show the postage costs, so forewarned..

  8. I've just bought some from Baines (DX73).  Not fitted yet, but offering up a short length seems to be a vast improvement over the closed cell type.

  10. Well done!  You wouldn't enjoy fitting a new cable anyway...  ET fingers needed.
  11. I have just sorted this problem out on my 1500 engine (twin Strombergs) in the Herald project...  The outer cable was kaput, stretching as I pushed the knob in.  New cable, problem sorted.  The only downside is a mismatch in the knob position, (sitting at about 5 past 7...) Purchased from a major Triumph parts dealer.
  12. I got this from ebay..  https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/S5-001-Bosch-Equivalent-Car-Battery-Type-063-S5001/201725072838?epid=2014575951&hash=item2ef7c055c6:g:2ogAAOSwNSxVJ93f
  13. I had some surplus PVC coated 6mm i/d copper pipe from when I fitted an LPG kit to my Midge. It's looking good on my Herald chassis, just needed 9mm 'p' clips. Also available in 8mm i/d.  Probably available from any reputable LPG system supplier.
  14. Beware of porous alloy, one of my Cosmics suffers from it. Loses about 10 psi per month.
  15. Ok, I think I've sorted it. Securon do a seat belt extender which gives up to 16" extra length.  I shall be fitting static belts with the extender.  Sorted!   https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/23201.....863271340&crdt=0
  16. Link not working... I'll try another.       https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW.....047675.c100005.m1851
  17. Thanks Clive. Yes, looked at that one. There's an issue with the shape of the area where the retractor fits that prevents anything other than vertical fitment..   Also, due to the modifications that I have made to the tunnel area (cut away for seat fitment), I am restricted to the short 15 cm  metal strap buckle connector. I'm very tempted by this static set up..   http://www.securon.co.uk/images/products/300-15.jpg   but the webbing length is only 217cm, which I feel may be a bit short... What have others used?
  18. Securon recommend the 500/30 auto seat belts. I'm a little bit concerned that when fitted to the standard mounting points, the webbing will come out at an angle from the vertically fitted retractor to the upper loop guide on the body waist mounting and cause restricted rewind and eventual fraying? What have others used?  I am also contemplating static 3 point, but Securon don't seem to have a recommendation for this option...
  19. I'm also looking.  This is on my watch list..https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Luc.....p2060353.m1438.l2649
  20. New boots from ANG. Fitted a treat over the dust covers.
  21. New old stock.. Gone a bit hard, so new ones on order at the moment.  I'll report back when I fit them... (Hopefully!)
  22. Should these fit over the smaller seals on the master cylinder?  They seem bl**dy tight, such that I can't actually fit one...
  23. A bit more tech info would have been good. Apart from that, I like the look of it as a development vehicle, specially the lack of front valence. I might work on that look for my project...
