  1. Doh - having looked at all the listings again it would appear that everybody is selling pairs of door cards and 1/4 panels, the Rimmers description is the only one that expressly says that they are priced as a pair which would make them nearly half the price of the others. as  Rob P says these all seem to be made by Newtons and as Paddocks are a good price and have always been great in terms of service and price an order is going in to them.   Thanks for all your help.   John
  2. Thanks Tight Wad - I'll send them an email today
  3. Hi  Does anybody have any experience of door cards and rear quarter panels from Rimmer Bros, they are considerably cheaper than Newton commercial. Whilst I like a bargain (the rimmer products are pretty much half the price) I hate it when I "save" money only to find that the product is just not quite right!   Thanks   John
  4. Thanks Ben I don't know why I couldn't find those, - any way they are ordered now and im another step closer to finishing the car. cheers John
  5. Evening all  at last my 1360 convertible is being put back together. most of the chrome trim is on bar the horseshoe trims above the rear lights, for the life of me I cannot find the correct clips for them. Can anybody help with a supplier reference or link to the correct part. In advance many thanks.   John
  6. Hi rustbucket Thanks for the links - they are just what I was looking for. I have just ordered the standard mount and will print off the tssc installation guide. Many thanks again John
  7. Good morning all My Herald chassis is repaired and painted and we are starting to reassemble. I am goining to do a DIY type 9 gearbox conversion usibg the Canley's adaptor plate. My problem now is what mount to use at the rear of the box? Does anybody have any pics of suitable mounting brackets? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks John
  8. I know that it would be completely politically incorrect in these days of carbon emissions and the like but how about a big bonfire and burn the rubber off? John
  9. Hi Mark  - if you are still looking I have the dynamo that came out of my 13/60 that your more than welcome to. It's not brand new but would clean up I'm sure and was working fine when I took it off. I'm only in Staines and will be going to leatherhead on Saturday. John

    Engine Valence

I've started to refit the engine valences to my 1360 and the 2 screws that fix the front lower curved edge are badly corroded. Does anybody know size they are and where I could get some replacements. Alternatively I was thinking of using some rivnut inserts and some new bolts. The latter would be quite easy but the original screws have a course thread - I presume for a reason. What do you think? John
