  1. Hi, this sign shows the direction for a proposed alternative route or a deviation. This is used on occasions like fairs when they want to lead the regular traffic around a traffic jam. It is supposed to show the fastest and best way you can choose. ...any further questions on german mysteries let me know Heiko

You never get your money out you invest in your Vitesse. Following the market for about 4 years now I think a real mint car with history might be max at 14000.-€, this is already scyscrape high , this one might well be 1000.-€ below. I see the GT6 going up in price but the Vitesse, even a MKII convertible is always some thousands behind. The mix we see here has both bonnets from the MKI and the dash from the MKII. The seats also seem to have the upholstery of the MKI. The cardboard in the passengers footroom is for the RHD version, the carpet may also well be? A pity that there went a lot wrong with all the details::'( The body itself has a perfect fitting , door gapping and the fit of the roof seems to be very good. The car would - for my opinion - look much better with the original Rostyle hubcaps ...if it was an MKII what we actually do not know - 1968 can be both MKI and MKII.
  3. Hello, I have an additional question on the manifold. My Vitesse has a 2500S engine installed with HS6 carbs, - orig. 2500S manifold not machined but mounted with adaptors on the carb. side. As the air valve - which I think is for the underpressure of the brake servo unit in the 2500S - is not needed in my car I want to close this with a blind plug. Living on the metric continent I don't have a clue which thread this part might have. Anyone knows which size I need? See the part on the picture below which I repeat from above: Thanks, Heiko

There must be some aftermarket ones made for the vitesse for tuning, better sounds etc?  ;) I'm sure one of the vitesse boys will be along to say soon! Cheers Oh and p.s. welcome to the forum, where abouts are you, what cars have you, etc etc etc!  :) Thanks for the nice welcome greetings! I'm from Mainz / Germany, besides a Triumph T140E my 68' Vitesse MKII conv. is the only Triumph I owe. Both have amazing engines and sound, but both have a real exhaust problem, - Bonneville problem solved with Norton Roadster mufflers. Thanks for all the postings make a decision easier, I oversaw the sparewheel well. I tend to take the stainles steel Canley version, - with free flow through. I asssume this is the one found in the shop as replacement for the original?

I have a Vitesse MKII convertible with the 2500S saloon engine and a 48mm single pipe ending in a small high backpressure muffler with poor sound. The TR6 muffler would move the ending pipes to the left , with original length the muffler itself would be installed somewhere just before the rear axle. Any advice? Enough clearance under the floor for a TR6 muffler? Thanks, Heiko nobody did / no idea ?
