Hello can anyone help the mk3 Spitty wiper motor wiring is terminal no1 positive and no2 negative or the other way round as I have to re wire this thanks phill

Thanks Andy think I will go for the static one I don't want to start cutting Panals to modify for inertia real I think as the paint is done and on the last couple off jobs I think I will get the belts from tssc thanks for that Andy

Thanks I think this is probably the way to go safety being more important using inertia real belts I will have to look at the mounting points for fittment I will look at the eBay items and the tssc site have few kits at reasonable price .thank for that 😊

Hello I'm looking for mk3 spitfire seatbelt but looking for modern inertia reel type for safety can anyone recommend a vehicle type I could get used ones from possibly from a breakers as I don't have a lot off cash at the minute as I'm at the final stage off the project . Thanks in advance phill

Hi everyone thanks for all the help with the fuel problem it's sorted now thanks to all. I stripped the float as advised there was a kink in the plate the float fastens to and a little dirt under the valve so straitened the plate cleaned the base of the valve now leak is gone thanks again . Here is a pic of her not looking like a basket case anymore

The trouble started after I fitted a new fuel line and fuel tank wile fuel was being drawn from a petrol can I never had this problem now it's coming from the tank so that could be it there's no real work for the pump to draw from the tank than a bottle with no vent ( forgot to mention the new tank and pipe😠) so the pump could be the problem but I will check everything els mentioned thanks everybody

hello its a camshaft driven pump don't no if there's a way of testing fuel pressure but I will test the float tomorrow in water to see if it lines up ok with the valve thanks Iain

Hello I bought the valve from sports car supplies Newcastle and hope it's a quality item fitted it today it went in ok very easy nipped it up but not with to much force the float meets the valve ok

Hello everybody I have a fuel leak on the float chamber on my mk3 I've changed the valve in it and gasket the float its self is fine no leaks but it's still leaking petrol from the over flow any ideas were to go next to solve this would help thanks . Phill

Hello everyone I have a mk3 windscreen that someone scratched there initials on it but I've been told it can't be repaired so in need off a replacement if anyone can help or suggest anything I have limited funds but can pay some cash for one if anyone can help I'm in South Shields if anyone is in the area thanks in advance 😎

hello can any one help please my mk3 brake and clutch master cylinders are seized solid is there an easy way off refurbishing these or is it better to replace them as i cant strip them there solid many thanks phill

Thanks Alec ignition fault turned out to be positive lead from the battery and the soliniode ( if I spelt it right ) connection were bad cleaned them all and now it's spot on thanks again :)

hello everyone can anyone help with this problem my mk3 spitfire has a fault on the ignition there is no light on the clock and the engine wont turn over its making no effort at all i have checked the fuse box all seems fine there i have checked the ignition lock with an electrical tester there no power there at all i don't no were to go next has anyone had this problem battery and earth leads are fine i have tried an extra earth lead from the engine to the chassis this didn't work were next to try i don't no HELP please if anyone can thank you
