  1. For me its all about the look, rather than the function. If you are after a nice shinny engine bay , then ss works. If its not such a concern , i'd just make sure the lines are E10 or even E15 proof !!... With more Bio fuel being added these days to standard fuels, the fuel line just rot from the inside out... The other concern is the bore of the pipes, important to keep flow rates as high as possible. I had one 'burst' in the boot , with dramatic effect ...

    Chassis Paint

If (when) I get mine stripped that far ever , I would go full on and have it dipped to remove the rust residues you can't get to inside the chassis, then injection spray rust prevention , such as waxoyl but there are others, then spray etch primer and a base coat on another smooth anti rust... Then top coat in colour of your choice. With all that you'd need a deep pocket , but it would only need doing the once ! My understanding is that most chassis rot starts from inside ....
  3. Thanks for all the responses, I guess it will be check with the multimeter first before then wiring in looking for the switching side... Nice little project for next Sunday.
  4. Thanks Colin , sounds like I can pick it up in the centre console on my TR ..and feed it to a suitable LED in the dash. Cheers
  5. A bit of a newbie question , but does anyone use a dash indicator light for a j type overdrive? ... I was wondering if it could be done , or if someone already has a wiring diagram for one? Something as a reminder that you are in overdrive ?
