Hi,
I own a triumph spitfire mk4 1300, I'm wondering what the big end bolts torques are for these? I've seen 40lbs has been mentioned but when tightening the bolts to this spec it makes the engine pretty much impossible to turn even with tools.
The engine is still in situ (I don't have the means nor space to lift the engine out) as I've been replacing the piston rings but new piston rings wouldn't cause that much friction to prevent turning the engine surely? The bores have been honed etc.
Any help would be appreciated.
