GT6 John

Thanks Clive. I've now sourced a suitable reconned one from another company. But if anyone's interested Fitchetts have a 2000 Mk2 gearbox only done 22,000 miles from new! My old one ate itself spectacularly! Corkscrewed the main shaft! Proper job! I was only pulling away from traffic lights! Crunched through all 4 gears then locked up. Glad I was only doing 40 when it happened. I was about to pull into a lay-by 50 yards ahead, but the 'box thought breaking down on a main road in rush hour would be vastly more fun!!  ;D

Hi Everybody! Been a while. Quick question. Will a 2000 Mk2 gearbox fit in my GT6 Mk1?

My Mk1 GT6 threw a wobbly last summer and cut out on the motorway all due to the coil being in its original position by the engine and getting too hot. A damned sensible decision to place it on the bulkhead.  My one is there now and the car has been happy since and runs much more smoothly on hot days because of it.  Did a 100 miles on Sunday and 50 on Monday in it, both hot days, happy as Larry. ;D
