  1. You do love the colour black....even you mail box is black. ;)  Good looking playset.  I built a permanent one at our old house.....6 months before my wife decided we should move. Your car is looking very good.  I'm hoping to get to mine next year.....this year is a write off with all my time being drained away on more pressing issues.

Here's the linka dn I will give the usual disclaimer.....I have no interest in this company etc. http://www.premiergarage.com  btw....website has sound.
  3. Hey.....I just noticed you installed the new windshield as well!!!   Where do you find the time?  I'm trapped doing endless house repairs.
  4. Excellent progress.  the hood supports are an excellent way to go and those new turn signal lights are the ticket.  Mine arrived the day after your and they are beautiful.......I'm acquiring quite the collection of parts for my car when I restore it.
  5. irish44j wrote: I just checked out that link you posted. Price is great (about $30US for a pair of them) but shipping is the killer (about $45US for the pair of them!!). Anyone in the UK want to buy them for me and ship them cheaper, or I'll pick em up when I'm in the UK in December? :) But if you install them you car won't be concours original.   ;)
  6. irish44j wrote: It's been over 12 years since I drove this car, so I'm a bit anxious and will admit to taking some shortcuts here and there. You, on the other hand, get to drive your car rather than work on it...which I envy! My car still needs a new master brake cylinder etc before it can be inspected to complete the importation process and be legal in Canada (I imported it from the US)...so for now I can't insure it.  The importation inspection is very much like an MOT for our UK friends and is a one time only inspection, but I do know my car would fail in it's current state. So I can't drive my GT6.....that leaves me stuck driving my 928GT.   It would be fun to bomb about in the GT6.
  7. This thread drives me nuts......I wish I had time to work on my car.   I do envy you.  Thanks for the update.
  8. booley wrote:sorry steve, i figured irish would get it because he's got a maxima.... anything jdm makes your car go faster!?! i don't think i've ever seen those marker lites, must be ukdm? i have to admit i like them though No apologies needed......I'm into other cars as well and I know the term JDM.....I'ma  big fan of the 2nd GEN Mr2's.  I was jsut having a brain-fade and couldn't remember what JDM meant.   ......I guess being on a Triumph forum did little to jog my memory.
  9. Ahhh......the jdm (Japanese Domestic Market ) comment had me confused.   :)
  10. booley wrote: jdm marker lites? ;) what's "jdm"?
  11. I'm actually in the market for a set myself.....I lost an auction on e-bay for the set in the photo......but according to one of the pros here....it seems you can buy them new fairly cheaply here. http://www.jagspares.co.uk/Abingdon/partdetail.asp?partno=BHA4966
  12. irish44j wrote:moving along with some interior, carpeting, got one side of the car sanded and rattle-canned, put some trim and lighting back on..... some exterior shots on the "good" side of the car. The other side and hood are still primer and have more sanding to do on them... Very nice.....but those front marker lights just won't do....   ;) Come on....you know you want to....
  13. Now it's starting to take shape.  The paint scheme looks like some sort of military camo from WW2.
  14. So you're not going with Manly Magenta?   ;D

  16. Your wife has a good looking ride.   What color are you painting your GT6?
  17. I envy you......I'm mired in re-landscaping my backyard......I spent a bunch of money today on inground sprinkler system parts.
  18. So what finish are you going to use on your valve cover? How did you polish up your dash pots? Your car just keeps looking better with each photo.
  19. Wow......that red GT6 looks excellent.....I never knew red could look that good ona  GT6.  Not that I'm considering red for this one....but possibly my next one.
  20. Good progress.  These really are great cars to work on and a treat to see pics of them being put together.  I think you made a very good move going with new bolts....this makes quite the visual differance.  Looking good.
  21. Yup.....no mention of the work he's doing......everyone is standing in the corner of his garage looking at his screwdriver.   Regarding the work in the photos....   I'm enjoying watching this project come together.....
  22. This is coming along very nicely.  I look forward to doing this myself next year.
  23. The metal suspension parts looks like they are painted or powder coated in silver.  Are these coated or it this bare metal? Everything is looking very good....the trans looks excellent.
