  1. What car is that discrete spoiler stolen from? And does it work? Wheels do look good, nice to see something different from the Minilite and still with a 1960's feel.
  2. Lots of people have little understanding of car wiring and although they know that adding relays is a "good thing", they have no idea how to do it. Here is an answer, at a reasonable price, it's plug and play and plus because it's non-invasive, it's easy to reset the car to original specification.
  3. No connection etc. Saw it on another forum and it looks like an easy way to add relays for the head lights. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/H4-H.....;hash=item19f3e8771c
  4. Thanks for the suggestions of vents etc., but they might give the game away......... ;) The strengthening membrane in the nose seems ideally placed to encourage the air flow away from the radiator and into the wings. However, I'm sure if I block it to force more air through the radiator, the brakes, (now deprived of cool air from the nose cone) will overheat! ??) >:(
  5. Thanks, was about to get my coat.....you probably didn't get the TV show that punch line comes from! Anyway, did Australian cars get a 3 row rad when new from the factory? I'm guessing that the cars had some local content, rads being part of that? Not sure how many "rows" a standard UK 2000 has in it's rad either!
  6. Inside the nose cone on my MK1 (and probably every MK1!) is a strengthening gusset, it runs from inner wing to inner wing and is almost above the grille. It has holes in it to reduce weight. I wonder if by closing these holes, I'll improve the airflow through the radiator? At the moment, it seems (to me) that air can escape via these holes into the wings. Or am I misguided? And do the hot climate cars use the same radiator as the UK ones? Thanks Andy
  7. Thanks, did take a look on Ebay, so will revisit it.
  8. The large grommets used in the engine bay on a MK1, anyone know of a source for new ones? Thanks Andy

I did all four on my car, used Chris Witor ones. And yes, it did take forever....

  13. Stripped the rack and down and it is bent, also obviously not NOS judging from the wear marks on pinion and rack. Also found the Paypal transaction, I'll contact the seller, who is still trading and may even be a poster on this forum, see if he'll make good! Anyway all ready for the nice, properly reconditioned Witor rack to fit on Monday evening.
