  1. Thanks Bainzy, looks like the lip has been either cut off or beaten flat and welded to the bulkhead, just curious but when you look along the bottom of your cill between wheel arches is it straight or does it have a slight curve in it ??
  2. Thanks Jens, I had always assumed that the line would be straight between the wheel arches.

    Heritage Panels

Hi All, just taken delivery of some new panels and have a couple of questions, the Heritage cills when viewed along their length seem to be curved ( bottom of cill ) is this just a quirk of manufacture or should it be this way ?? Also the closure panel that fills the front of the cill to the front bulkhead has a small (5mm) lip on the edge that welds to the bulkhead but I have not seen this on any other mk iv spit that I've looked at, this panel always looks flush to the bulkhead. Any help appreciated. Tim
  4. Thanks guys, all good advice which I shall follow, thanks again. Tim
  5. Thanks, I suppose I may as well get new ones, I seem to be renewing everything else  ;D what seemed like a nice little car is turning into a money pit, but hey what else is money for if not to be spent !!
  6. Cheers Nick, no real lip to speak of, just a very small depression that I can feel with my finger, sounds like they should be ok. Thanks again.
  7. But how much is too much ?? I can feel a small dip with my finger tips.

    Stub Axle

Stripping the suspension off today and noticed this on the stub axle, blueish and slightly worn, should it be replaced ?? or can I get away with it ??
