Make sure the rad is given flushes and back flushes to remove any of the same build up as thermo hsg.

Thank's Yog,just thought the 13/60 rwd might have been the same.The one i have just removed from the engine show's a groove that is much deeper on some "finger's"on the pressure plate and can't really understand why.

Can anyone tell me if the pressure plate on a 1500 is the same as any of the lower cc model's, 1300 fwd/rwd. It will be mated to a 20 spline drive plate and midget box.

Yep, am going to leave the Midget one on, have just seen a downpipe for the midget on ebay so think i will fit one then change the back end as it has a flanged joint. Will then get a dolly back half to mate up prob with a little jiggling!!

Toledo, thanks very much, you have answered what i needed to know! I have a 13/60 manifold to use, it was just to confirm that the midget one needed to come off for the 13/60 one, that need's 2 studs also. Ta

Have got a 1500 that came out of a Midget, it has the exhaust manifold fitted, is this the same manifold as a Triumph or should i be changing it and for wich one? I will have to buy a downpipe to start the system off and maybe use a dolly or toledo to mate to.Thanks in anticipation. It is going into a Standard 10.

Hi all, first timer question.....Can anyone tell me the sizes of the wheel stud, i have a set of TR7 Minilites on a Standard 10 but i would like to change to the correct TR7 studs as the wheel's came with the the correct chrome badged nut's.

Am sure this will be answered swiftly,,,Bought a 13/60 unit last week and all outward sign's led me to believe it was a rebuilt unit. Took head off yesterday and was proved correct, it has had a good amount of money spent on it by someone!! The piston's all have the letter 'F' stamped on the crown, does this mean they are standard or is it something else? Also, is there a way of telling if it has been converted for unleaded? What is the max endfloat,at present i am seeing 1/32" if that. I was a bit surprised to see it was only a three bearing mains set up. Am still trying to decide wether to put this or my other 1500 unleaded into my son's Standard10?Colin
