Got a chance to have look and removed the earth as said and woohoo brake light are back Is OK to leave it like that or is it best to by pass it all together ? Thanks for the help means I got me daily driver back now

Night dimmer relay ? It's a early my 72 did it have one if so we're abouts is it ? Have run new earths with a wire inside bulb holder to a floor bolt and show a good Earth on tester When lights on no 12v showing on lead with lights off it shows power so it must be something inline with the brake power lead ?

Hi all Got a mk4 when no lights on brake lights work once lights turned on there don't Had a look all earths on lights seem good has any one got any idea? Cheers

well some good news it got through the mot with no probs , but the horn got stuck on again as i drove out of test bay so it must be a wire catching somewhere lol

woohoo got the wheel off at last lol wires all ok and push button all works ok but horn still stuck on :( relay seems to click ok so sounds like i will have to play follow the wire to the horn next

yep mk4 with center horn button , had a go at steering wheel no luck getting it to move yet ! it deff been off before as its near ninety degrees out of line with steering lol

thanks for the idea i will see if i can get steering wheel off and a look to follow the wires

car horn stuck on , pulled wires off horn to stop it , if i push horn button when car not running ignition lights flash on and i here a loud click would that be a dead relay ?
