I have a 1500 Spit that I am trying to get started after about 18 months. I noticed that the pipes from engine top towards the carbs has perished. A look at blow up diagrams at Rimmers shows me this is the Triumph Spitfire Engine Breather System. There are oily deposits around the ends of the pipes, especially where it has split. Would this stop me starting her up? (My initial aim is to get her started to move 50 yards down the road to a new garage). Thanks in advance.
