  1. Cheers Steve and everyone else that's helped bringing this to entrant's attention.

In case anyone is interested, the suggested A167 / A168 route just brushes Darlington before re-joining the original route, and passes close to a 24 hour fuel station (Shell) - Woodland Rd, Darlington DL3 9NQ.

Cheers all and see you on Friday.

  2. Details for the AMSC AutoSOLO in June:

The second round of this year's AMSC Autosolo, Autotest and PCA series which includes the Malcolm Cleverley MX5 Award will be held at MOD Wethersfield on June 5th.

Regs and Entry forms are available on the website http://www.amsc.org.uk/aac16/html/round2.html

We welcome entries from non-AMSC club members for any of the events and we are very keen to encourage those who haven't tried this type of motor sport before. In fact we get several newcomers and junior drivers each time we have a Solo which is why we have introduced a PCA class for this year.

Further info from Tony Burchnall. Comp Sec ECMC, a member club of AMSC.

  3. Quoted from Beans
Haven't found someone whom I trust with one of my cars   and who is willing to take part in the event.
So if I come over for this one it'll probably be as a marshal

Translation: Haven't found someone that doesn't know how I drive or is willing to take the risk! 😉

  4. Some of you may have noticed a little camera in my front screen whilst on the 10CR this year... it was taking a picture every three seconds, which a nice clever piece of software has knitted together into a timelapse movie. If you're interested, I've posted these on YouTube at the links below... enjoy 😉

  7. Hi all

I'm please to advise entry for the above event is now open... The event will be held at Bovingdon as previous years. Full details can be found on the downloadable regs and entry form from the link below.

    http://club.triumph.org.uk/comps/?id=92

If you've never taken part in an autosolo, this is an ideal opportunity to take part in a low cost competitive event to see how you and your car fair. More details on autosolos can be found here: http://club.triumph.org.uk/comps/?id=87

    Cheers

Ellis (on behalf of Nigel Adbullah - Autosolo mini-series co-ordinator)

  8. All

Having a day or so to reflect, the run itself went like clockwork, I think the one disappointing thing was the number of entries...

I've already had some positive comments about the run and some really good ideas to potentially move the event forward. I think the main one is as I mentioned on Sunday, basing the event back in the middle of the country and making a circular route, ie. start and finish are pretty much together. We've also had a few other ideas which could be key, but obviously can't share as it will spoil the basis of the event.

Any further ideas welcomed, including any from people that have done the run previously and haven't for a while - tell us why and we'll try to address it in a revised format. I know we can't fix everything, but at least if we know, we can try and do something.

    Cheers all

    E.
