  1. [quote=796]Pauls got some good valid points in thea John, esp about the  electric water pump

think Steeve Povey fitted a wide rad to his, there some pics some where on here,
    Steeve, piics for John pleeese.

Not sure if your confused or did mean me Marcus,i have an ally rad in my Vitesse 2.5,standard pump with a Spal fan.
I have a header tank which runs a feed to the thermo housing and back through the system as i was getting hot spots in the head.

Seems to work well but then i don`t go racing(not on a track)

  2. On my 13/60 albeit with a large bearing 1300 engine,i have a single rail o/d box and a 3.63 diff.
It will pull fine normally, just not up hills in o/d top.
It completed the last RBRR and the o/d makes a big difference to cruising.

The only mods are a four branch manifold and twin carbs.

I am building a 1500 for it though.

  3. I need to clear some of the accumulated parts in my lockup.

I have an engine i bought a few years ago from Devon, the number is MG2070HE which i think makes it early MK2 PI?
I know nothing of its history,it turns ok by hand.
    Worth putting on e-bay?

  4. My Herald did just this a couple of months ago, checking around with an AVO meter i found i had the o/d switched to ON,the single rail o/d box was engaging the solenoid in neutral with the gearstick on the right hand side but not in gear, hence completely drained battery.

  5. I had an old TriumphTune decambered spring on my Vitesse,it was getting a bit saggy so i thought i would try the Courier version from one of the above suppliers. It made the car sit far too high and induced hideous positive camber and awful handling.

I could have farted around with lowering blocks but went back to the TT spring instead.

  6. My second go too, last one ended with three wheels on my wagon in Cornwall.

We had fuelling problems all the way to Inverness and couldn`t get up any slight gradient without losing power and one cylinder, finally sorted out near Inverness at 6am.

I thought we were dead last and considered missing Skiach but went anyway.I was pleasantly surprised to find it still open,we were told there were at least 5 outstanding to come through so we carried on.

We made all the other stops in good time and were really pleased to finish.

As for changes, the RBRR is what it is,and being an old fart and a traditionalist,i would be loathed to see it changed substantially. We did abandon Lands End for McDonalds though.

As for 2016,i`ll be back, though i do seem to have a problem being a passenger in one of my cars,i get irritated with other peoples driving style.
Big thanks to all who make it happen.
    Steve
