Hi
I was wondering how many people are going and what time they were anticipating arriving on the Friday please?
Thanks

I would be interested, one last hurrah before separating the body from the chassis for this winters improvements….

We purchased ours in Dec 2014, each winter we do a bit more and then do “stuff” with her during the season … she’s starting to look ok and mechanically she is brilliant but it has taken a good few years and £’s to get to this point … was it worth it? Absolutely… really enjoyed working on her (well most of the time anyway) and she’s better and more fun to drive than I ever expected … if you enjoy the tinkering, go for it !!!

I’m 6’3 and probably 16st and I fit, despite the fact I also have to negotiate a roll cage and sparco race seats 🫣

Speedy cables did a first class job on mine and, according to the Satnav, it reads spot on too…

The Accuspark option is a fit and forget solution - do get the whole kit as you will need the (different) electronic coil and different plugs that come with it…

Hi Julian, my herald dizzy was wobbly, the shaft was badly worn so I just opted for electronic ignition
best thing I ever did, better starting, smoother idling and better fuel economy, Accuspark do a complete upgrade of coil, HT Leads, plugs and distributor for just over £110
well worth the upgrade
I believe Delco Remy are not the most reliable but don’t quite me on that claim, - never had one
I fitted just such a kit to my friends car in Finland a few weeks ago - works a treat 👍🏻

I am in the process of putting a sprint engine together.
A few weeks ago I refitted the head. Both the the block and the head have been skimmed, so nice and flat. Anyway, after a bit of deliberation about the order in which to torque the head (there are 2 different theories, all down to the angled studs) all was fine. After a week of being sat on the bench, I retorqued the head. And yes, the gasket had "given" and every nut got an extra bit of rotation. I will retorque again when the engine is in and been heat cycled. And again after a few hundred miles. I am hopeful that will do the trick!
If a Sprint, then again at a thousand miles too…

Warm when you retorque it …
I’d put water in it, run it for 15-20 mins, then let her cool down to warm and retorque the head (not when she’s hot or cold)…

You don’t want it “hot” … just warm

Hmmmm not good, I've had the same issues as everyone else !

Hi
I can’t advise on the “Blockley” tyre but I use Avon CR6’s on the road and they are mustard
This link will take you to Longstone Tyres who are the leading authority on classic car tyres 👍
