So after Mabel’s first real run a few weeks ago, she’s been running like a pig, cutting out and generally uneven running, Darren and I decided she actually would benefit from a nice new electronic distributor, but for now, new points and condenser together with a new dizzy cap would help. Off came the cap, in with new points and condenser, new cap and oo and behold a nice even sounding engine, then clunk. She stopped, distributor turned through 90 degrees and smashed the ceramic on plug 3!! Out came the distributor and took of the top plate, a washer had fallen from somewhere. Still a mystery, and jammed the drive shaft. Removed it and distributor turned freely again
not called 2 times Mabel for nothing 🙄

All in all a very busy year with the cars . Olaf got a new PAS rack , then nearly drowned and had a major service with all the carbs removed and cleaned ready for an epic RBRR. Then finished off with a lovely run out to Stafford . Also got loads of videos . The log had a whole heap of work to the brakes, suspension and rebuilt carbs plus an electronic distributor, new engine and gearbox mounts . A highlight was helping Wendy to get that MOT for Mabel . The Border Raiders is always a favourite and nursing Chris’s 2000 Auto through the C2C was special . Brilliant fun all of it . A great year with special thanks to Andy and Sarah Johnson and Luke and Abbie , Wendy of course and all the lads at Lincolnshire Triumphs . Must mention Our Lincoln Breakfast meeting and trip to the bubble car Museum. Thanks also to Mike Charlton and Chris Reynolds, Chris Shaw and the RBRR team . An epic year ! ….

As the embarrassed owner of the above , I can honestly say that my worst recollection of Xply tyres was aquaplaning in my first Herald 1200 when I was just 20 years old , not a nice experience

Lollipop lady and school cook there”s me - wow how exciting. Always wanted a job in the motor trade and here I am the dreaded yellow peril, scourge of the school run lol
I will have to work til my little legs give out or I drop off my perch to keep my trusty old Herald (joke!! ) on the road

Hi Ben, I’ve used the link from your email and tried to sign in, I can get into the site via google, so not too concerned but just confused as to why I could no longer use my bookmark on Safari, I have attached screenshots of the prompts from my attempts to sign in via the link on your email, and have changed my password
I know that my email is secure on the site so not too concerned
i await your advice
Thankyou Ben

I saved the site on Safari. Never had a problem until yesterday when it didn’t recognise me and wouldn’t let me proceed through the members only sections and kept asking me to sign in, when I did it said that my email was already being used??
however I went on google and put the website address in and hey presto no trouble - didn’t even ask me to sign in can’t understand why
