  1. Congratulations on the new job! Monday thru Friday means we can get more regular updates on the car, instead of sometimes waiting for months... Will you be closer or farther away from Craig? One of you still has to drive to the others house. That picture of the new sump under the car is a little scary, Please don't bottom out on anything!!
  2. Congratulations Nick! It must have been a hoot to finally drive the car after all your hard work. Well done!
  3. excellent idea, why didn't Triumph think of that?
  4. Great stuff Nick! I love that pic of the little car in front of the big truck. Thanks for the tip on brake bleeding as I have a Canley's big brake kit that I will be installing...(sorry for all your frustration)
  5. Good stuff, Nick! I have been "lurking" here on your build thread for a very long time, eagerly awaiting any updates... Must be your busy season down-under? Are your motor mounts bolted to the front side or back side of the upright flange? Isn't that an easy way to shift the lump to the rear a tiny bit? Imagine the space you'd have if you kept LHD ?!? I remember having to "modify" that frame rail flange with a BFH when fitting a 6into1 header from JC Whitney, a looong time ago...
  6. I never knew the servo only boosted the front brakes... stupid question: is the switch in the PDWA "centered"? If not, could be the reason why there is no fluid at the rear

I don't particularly like the idea of depriving it of the bumper entirely as I think on the later cars the bumper really ties together the look of the front end. However, I don't like the idea of a heavy lump of metal sitting way out at the front of the car when I'm trying to offset the weight of a 6 cylinder. So, I'll be making a fibreglass mould so I can make some lightweight ones :) PRI used to offer fiberglass bumpers here in the states, but I guess they were discontinued because of problems at the mounting points. I might be interested in a lightweight bumper if you are going to sell them...
  8. in Kas' book, he suggests deepening the driver's side floorpan to lower the car's center of gravity
  9. ^^ what are they? are they the rear bumper brackets? I've also seen door hinges drilled out with "speed holes"

  11. PRI used to sell a fibreglass front bumper a few years back, but they were discontinued. I believe they had trouble with the mounting points not being strong enough. Very interesting list...
  12. I find it interesting where the ignition key is on your mkII. I had a '69 mkII, and the key was directly opposite from yours, just under the tach. That dash Does look good though!
  13. lookin good !! i can't decide if i like that style turn signal or not.... i noticed the 2 piece lenses available through vicky-brit, might order them so i can see for myself... i've toyed with the idea of those gas hood struts, but don't know if the right side strut will clear my webers
  14. sorry steve, i figured irish would get it because he's got a maxima.... anything jdm makes your car go faster!?! i don't think i've ever seen those marker lites, must be ukdm? i have to admit i like them though
