I've seen and reconditioned far worse. As long as no con rods have said hello to the outside world, it's more than likely salvageable.

It's for the best, get the OD box & the new carbs fitted at the same time & there will be hardly anything left that hasn't been done. She should (hopefully) be a good girl for a few years.

How would you assess this as a resto project?
It's £500 cheaper on car and classic. https://www.carandclassic.com/l/C1672958
It's still too expensive for the condition.

DVLA no longer provide previous owner details due to data protection so hope your search is successful, may prove difficult, maybe worth asking on TSSC forum too
Also ask on the TR Register

It was a good day & good to catch up with friends, I managed to haemorrhage a bit more money on Spitfire bits.
After being stuck in traffic for an hour last year, I decided to plan ahead. I had taken note of road closures etc & set off early enough to arrive at opening time. The queue was only back to the gate at 9:30.

The truck mixer might be a slight overkill!
That's not overkill. However, this is overkill.

I'll second that, there's been so much work done so far there's very little left to go wrong.

Get a price from your local reconditioner for the machining required & we can talk in a couple of weeks at Stoneleigh.
P.S. I'll be bringing baked goods 😊

Just done a tot up on actual costs for 10CR.....😵....
You should never do totting up of any of the costs involving your Triumph...

You can tell by the sparks if it's hardened - whilst grinding hardened steel you will get small, quite dark red sparks, should you break through the hardening, the sparks become more orange and sparkling.
