hi can can anyone help i have been offerd a spitfire but it needs sills is this a big job to do
There are plenty of videos on YouTube showing how others have done theirs, watch more than one. Keep the tub bolted to the chassis, brace the door apertures & diagonal bracing across the tub too. Make sure the bracing doesn't interfere with the doors so that you can try the door before welding anything.

Yes please, I'll buy them 😊

Does anyone in the Oxfordshire area have a hub puller I can borrow/hire/buy?

It looks like Tim has had a bit of a mishap, can someone help him get his car the right way up?

Having worked for a recovery company in the 90s & seeing far too much claret spread throughout interiors of crashed cars I would strongly advise getting seat belts fitted.
-
It would be great to see it returned to its original colour of Valencia Blue, it must have looked quite something with the light tan leather interior.
Much like @yorkshire_spam If only I had the space/time/money

That would make a great RBRR/10CR car, hopefully someone with the time & space snaps it up & gets it up & running again.

Amy interesting, I like the idea of having it wired in. I have a T bar on the Stag so the rear camera could be mounted on the T bar facing backwards the forward facing one on the top of the windscreen and the unit in the glove box with a power feed to the fuse box behind?
And with the right bits it would be very discrete & waterproof for when caught out by the wonderful British weather 😀

I've been toying with the idea of a motorbike one like this
I'm not sure if I'd go for a cheap Chinese one from Amazon but I like the idea of having tiny cameras hard wired in.

I will have a 3 syncro box available soon, I'm not quite in Lancashire, I'm in Oxfordshire.

That is a very nice Spitfire 👌

Without seeing the car it's difficult to tell what's needed. The doors and bonnet are adjustable and the shut lines can be improved.
What part of the country are you? There's probably someone in one of the groups nearby that can have a look for you. Check the groups and see if there's one nearby.

Excellent biscuit and coffee stop at the club stand.
I can't say about the coffee - I'm a tea drinker, but I would have to agree Wendy's biscuits went down well 😋

its a standard spring and no hasnt been driven yet, only a few hundred yards around the garage workshop lol they are intending to get miles on her.
Mine is sitting about the same as yours at the moment, I done a swing spring conversion about a year ago and it's still not settled. I'm going to try a lowering block. Hopefully I'll get one from Stoneleigh, it's on my very long shopping list...

That was a bit manic, especially having to go back and add co-driver. But all sorted now.
Looking forward to it and the car moves under own power too
I've still got to get confirmation & details from my prospective co-driver.

A deadline always helps, I find.
We're in again, 3rd time in row. Currently 101 in the list. Good effort everyone!
I'm picking up my diff & overdrive from Mike Papworth at Stoneleigh on Sunday.
