I have attached the eBay page if your interested Look at this on eBay: 463391, Spacer, Volvo Penta http://bit.ly/ZSRMX0 why did it have a gasket from a Volvo boat engine? is that normal??  :-/
  2. logicaluk wrote:i did find  one from that nearley fitted from a petrol freelander i think,  its about 10mm too long but apart from that it did fit. We have located the real McCoy! Honda Civic came up trumps, from USA  :)
  3. Maybe the guru could confirm, but wouldn't a 1979-1984 Honda Civic fuel pump fit?? There are plenty on Ebay... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-CIVIC-1-3-PIERBURG-Fuel-Pump-79-84-/310581529018?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Cars+Year%3A1983%7CModel%3ACivic&hash=item48501a09ba

B Thank you for the tip Barry... your not the first person to mention this method, but would you mind having a look at the bush above to tell us if they would fit? thanks  :)
  5. ferny wrote:http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-DCP7123 Might grab a couple myself for when I need them. Yeh, these are not in stock, It gives you an option to back-order, but whether that'll be any good I don't know... ALSO Ferny.... I need the front AND back stabiliser mount - does the above part from Rimmers fit both? or is it just for one??
  6. Toledo_Man wrote:I don't suppose you know the RR part number by any chance do you? I'm still going to explore this option. Did anyone establish the RR part number? Or at least the exact model/year? I have checked out the Rover 827 option, and there is nothing yet... Rimmers out of stock (or no longer sell) Ebay also has none, Rover 213 and 800 didn't come up trumps either.

Here are my two goes at sorting the exhaust. http://www.blueyedmuffin.co.uk/?p=233 http://www.blueyedmuffin.co.uk/?p=243 http://www.blueyedmuffin.co.uk/?p=368 A VERY interesting read, and a huge reality check for me personally...I had no idea that people with Acclaims had to go to such lengths for a new exhaust! I think i'll sell my Acclaim before it needs a new exhaust...sound MUCH easier!!! ;D
  9. Thank you everyone....It does look like you have to get them custom made after all...which was a shock to me at first. Luckily this time around, my exhaust was repairable, as it was the weld that gave way, and not a problem with rot. £30 and a BIG sigh of relief this time around!!   :o
  10. Hello friends, so yesterday my exhaust fell off....every garage in my town has told me they cannot get hold of a new one, so I feel like I have hit a brick wall  :( Does anyone know any sites that I can order one? or places in Northamptonshire that I can fetch one? My Acclaim is my daily runner, so it's leaving me a bit stuck, and I need one ASAP. Thank you in advance... AA

I had a brand new rotor arm fail on me and the car had passed the MoT earlier on that day. It does happen. Sorry to butt in on your conversation, but I keep seeing comments about watching where you get parts from, and watching out for cheap replacement parts etc etc....so where do you guys get GOOD replacement parts from, for your engine? is there a specific place you go, or do you trawl the internet every time? Thanks. Adam.
