  1. On a similar note: I have bought (very cheaply) a set of wire wheels  'type 42', hub diameter is 62.5mm, there are 75 splines and the spline length is 37mm. They are 48 spoke wheels. I am hoping to fit these to my 1969 - 13/60 Triumph herald convertible. I am looking at the splines / adjusters that i need to fit these on, there are a lot on ebay and come in at about £200 for a good pair. Does anyone have any advice (other than dont do it! lol) that i need to be aware of? I really like the look of them and it will be the finishing touch to the rebuild. Cheers
  2. Hi, I have 2 questions about replacement seats in Triumph Heralad: I was thinking of replacing the entire interior as the seats are a little worn and uncomfortable. I have read the people have put XJS front seats in their Herald (I have a 13/60 convertible) I was wondering if the rear seats form an XJS would also fit with a few tweaks? Also: does anyone know the size of the Rear seats in a herald? My car is in the garage all covered up and being a bit lazy. Cheers

Give it a shake though first its probably bust, mine was used a modern solid state chip in the case to get a nice modern steady 10v  outpu replacement. Thanks for this info. I am still unsure on the wires for the Fuel guage and for the Temp guage. As i have stripped, Sprayed and rebuilt this car, i think that the extra few hours to take the tape of the wiring and trace the wiring back, (as well as check that the Voltage regulator is fine) will be a good idea, I dont think it has been done since the car was built, So this will give me piece of mind and means i wont need to worry about the wiring later! What do you think?
  4. Hi, Newboy here. I am currenlty rebuilding my Herald 13/60 convertible, i have got to the bit where i wire up the clocks. ALthough i kept the wires together for the two dials, I forgot to mark the cables that were for the Fuel tank and the temprature!!!! Lesson learnt there. Does anybody have an image for the correct wiring set up, or know what they should be (the wiring diagram is maing me see spots in front of my eyes!!) I have two sets of wires, One set is a simple two wires, both green! The other set is also green, bit it has a single wire and then a double wire leading to one spade. I dont know which is whice, and other than stripping the wiring, i was wondering if anyone had an image or indication. Many thanks Phil
