12 volts on battery will check dynamo tomorrow paul

took car out for a drive battery not charging volt gauge shows 12volts but drops , red light goes out but glimmers when I rev over 2000 rpm, dynamo rebuilt ? done 30 miles battery flat , new battery paul.

should work from what I remember all the lock does is stop you pushing the button in .

Hi has anyone got ant ideas on how to get over this problem, the door window quarter light frame is catching the windscreen surround at the top, you really have to slam the doors very hard, you can actually see the windscreen surround move by a good quarter inch, with or without the hood open or closed, no rot in the bulk head area, or around windscreen, tried moving door hinges as far as possible and no joy

help please,, just had a set of tyres fitted to my 1965 1600 vitesse. garage informed me I need to get tubes as the rims are not suitable for tubeless and the only thing keeping the tyres on the rims is air, have spoken to different tyre outlets and getting conflicting advice, some say leave as is as it is safer others say I need tubes, confused the wheels are standard steel original.

hi help needed if possible, been trying to identify my vitesse engine as the engine number has been ground away, just found written in one of my workshop manuals probably by previous owner, it states engine number post HB27986, any ideas year, cc ect, the car is a 65 1600 convertible thanx paul

on its way back had to wait for a returns number, cost me £20 post they had better refund me/ will not use again that's for sure paul.

that sounds about right just got to convince rimmers they are adamant its the right one

the holes on the new prop are bigger than on mine could it be for a 2lt paul

ok thank you bill rimmers still say I have wrong gearbox and diff the prop they sent will not fit does say for 1600 on label ?

its a 1.6 non overdrive 1965 model

just tried to fit my new prop from rimmer found both flange end/ holes to be 5mm out of centre so will not line up rimmer saying must be a fault on my side non original box diff advice please. paul
