  1. Entry is open https://www.clubtriumph.co.uk/store/product/95-rbrr-2023-main-entrant/
  2. Here's hoping I don't get a power cut 10 minutes before I flip the switch and open the entry. This is what happened on the 10CR launch night. Trying to get my dying laptop to connect to a hotspot on my mobile with a baying mob at my door was not fun...
  3. Do we need a thread for, "What have you been doing instead of working on your Triumph?"
  4. Thanks for the heads up Pete and Wendy. I have been in touch with Lee.
  5. Interest was expressed at the meeting this month for Go Karting. This would be at M4 Karting at Hullavington. We need at least 10 drivers for a session that consists of a 15 minute qualifier, followed by a 20 lap race. Min age 16 years. £40 a head. Date to be confirmed, but more than likely a weekday evening. Please let me know if you would like to have a go. Members from neighbouring areas are also welcome to join us. Metal nibbler

I will see if my local Lidl has them. I am going to try cutting 1mm thick wriggly tin sheets. I was going to go with a 1mm cutting disc in my angle grinder, but that scares the bejesus out of me, as some of the cuts are 2 metres in length.

Thanks Sam. That looks better than the drill attachment.

    Metal nibbler

Can anyone recommend a metal nibbler? I'm considering the Sealey SNA9821. Has anyone used it, is it any good, or would you suggest something else?
  9. This is the owner history page from the report. It's a bit cryptic, but I can follow those dates and can see that the owner I sold it to is still the current owner:
  10. Interesting. I can see on the full report it is still owned by the person I sold it to, but it doesn't give any details.
  11. Looking for my old coupe. 972 NHW. Sold in the early 2000s to someone Leicestershire way. I know it's still around, possibly in Yorkshire. Anyone know the current owner or whereabouts?
  12. I think it won't be til the new year. I'm sure @Jason will trot along and confirm...
  13. It's the same as the wing trim on a Vitesse beyond the fuel tank neck, part number 613141?
  14. The original Heralds never had rubber bumpers, and I would consider leaving them off as the fitting of rubber bumpers introduces a horrendous rust trap on both the front and rear valances. I think the Herald lines looks far cleaner with them off, but your mileage may vary...
  15. Never really liked the location of the wiper switch on the far side of the Herald dashboard, so I thought I would try a second overdrive switch. Everything now in easy reach of the steering wheel.
  16. Original works Herald boot arrangement:
  17. I think it's only the last of the Herald saloon and convertible models from around 1970 that had the larger 9 gallon tank from the Vitesse. I had a 1968 13/60, and that had the smaller 6.5 gallon tank. No doubt, a Herald aficionado will come along and tell me where I'm wrong...
  18. Well done to Pendle & Pennine for being the first to get to 10 online members in their local group. https://www.clubtriumph.co.uk/clubs/?sort=members If you haven't done so yet, please browse the local group listings and join whichever groups you would like to associate or support.

  20. We have had some great meetings this year down The Foxham. If you haven't been for a while, please consider joining us on Tuesday 9th August from 7:30pm for a chat and a drink with like-minded Triumph enthusiasts. We have had a wide variety of cars in attendance in the pub car park from Herald, Vitesse, Spitfire, GT6 through to Stag and a few TRs. Whether you come in a Triumph or not, you will be sure of a warm welcome from our regular members.
  21. The second piece is part of a router guide fence - nothing to do with a Triumph.
  22. Thanks Amy, That is somewhat at the high end of my budget.
  23. Thanks, but that advert is full of inaccuracies. It's a saloon not a coupe.
