Thanks to everyone who took part either as competitor or marshall. Initial feedback is that is was enjoyed by all, it was particularly refrershing to hear several of the beginners expressing a desire to try another event.
We will be double checking the results over thext few days and uploading a few pics, so watch this space.
That's a little odd, maybe a quirk of the forum setup? Perhaps worthy of a committee discussion.
Seats look really nice by the way, you are obviously a master of your trade. Shame you are not a bit closer to Essex!
Entry closed over the weekend, we have 8 cars running.
Colin and I drove the route yesterday, ironing out a few wrinkles as we went. The local farmers have been harvesting sugar beet, leaving a bit of mud on a few of the roads. Hopefully the rain this week will wash some of it away!
Speaking of "wash", the poor old Mini now needs one badly!
We now have 6 cars entered, this means that the event is viable to run!
Entries have been opened up to other AEMC member clubs now, so if you are thinking of participating, get your entries in asap!
Worth giving them a ring to check. Emphasise that this event is an un-timed map reading and navigational drive, with the competitive element being based on interpreting the clues and reading the map correctly. Historically, most insurers have been ok with this.

4 cars entered now, missing a few regulars. Come on folks, we need a minimum of 6 cars to make the event viable 😁
Entry will be opening up to other clubs from the weekend!

If that doesn't work , let me know and I'll seek advice from @Craig
A lot of valuable spares lost in there I think. But with piles of combustable materials crammed in everywhere with no signs of fire segregation etc. I'm not surprised it burned so comprehensively. Really sad to see though
